Important Update: New Pena Palace Rules
Starting April 2, 2026, Pena Palace has introduced new rules to manage high visitor volumes. Tour guides are no longer permitted to speak or give commentary inside the palace’s interior rooms (the main house).
Because of this, we have updated our recommendations to ensure you get the absolute best experience.

Yes, we can focus the tour just in Sintra and visit more points of interest there. We could spend days and days in Sintra. This is a UNESCO World Heritage village, all the village, so there is plenty to see. So, for a 8 hour tour, you always have to select the best monuments and that will also depend on your preferences.
We do not recommend this tour to people with walking limitations, unless you want to do a panoramic tour, just passing by Sintra and Cascais by car. Sintra can be a bit challenging due to the cobblestone, but also the ups and downs and stairs of the Pena Palace or the irregular soil of the Regaleira. In any case, if you want to do a panoramic tour, mainly focused on the driving part, we can adjust and do Sintra, Azenhas do Mar, Guincho, Cabo da Roca, Cascais.
Pena is the most visited monument in Sintra, but it is also the busiest one. Expect crowds. So, the answer depends on your preference: if you want to go to the most famous spots, Pena is a must. If you want to do Sintra without the crowds, we can offer you a completely alternative version and a promise: no crowds,
